Gym Heroes, released in August 2000, is the first of the two Gym sets: 132 cards built around the Kanto Gym Leaders' own Pokémon, such as Brock's Onix, Misty's Goldeen, Lt. Surge's Pikachu and Erika's Clefairy, plus Team Rocket's Pokémon like Rocket's Moltres.

What does 1st Edition mean?

Cards from the first print run carry a black 1st Edition stamp to the left of the artwork; later Unlimited copies do not. Each card's title says which print you are buying.

What condition are the cards in?

Every card is graded by hand before listing. Near Mint or better means no visible wear; Light Play means minor edge or surface wear and is priced lower. The grade is in each card's title.
